Hull Preparation
Services:
GELCOAT PEELING SERVICE- We use professionally designed gelcoat peelers
which leave
a surface finish superior to that produced by conventional equipment.
The essential decision of how high above the
waterline to establish the cut line and
how deep to set the cutting
blades comes from working on over 300 boats over the
past 14
years. Our experience will ensure that your boat is peeled correctly
according to best workshop practices so that it is ideally prepared for subsequent
operations.
GRIT-BLASTING SERVICE- Operating
either wet or
dry and using a variety of special sharp media propelled by
compressed
air, we give you the ideal surface for
the elimination of both contaminants and moisture after
peeling.
We also prepare (and recoat) ferro-cement
hulls.
STEAM-CLEANING/HOT WATER WASHING SERVICES-
This is an essential operation to ensure complete release of
moisture and chemicals. We offers
this as a mobile
service.
ANTIFOULING REMOVAL SERVICE- Using the
latest equipment, techniques and a choice of appropriate media we
will
remove your antifouling paint
efficiently and cleanly ready for recoating.
KEEL PREPARATION SERVICE- We remove all
coatings and rust on iron keels down to bare metal by blasting.
We follow with a variety of treatments
depending on condition (porosity etc,) and recoat with solvent- free
epoxy products.
EPOXY COATING and FAIRING PRODUCTS
SERVICE- Using a well proven epoxy coating scheme
we can not only replace a peeled gelcoat
as part of an osmosis repair scheme but also give you a suitable
protective scheme for new or nearly new GRP hulls.
